LAHORE, Nov 9: Wapda continued their domination when its quartet earned the fourth gold medal, winning the 70-kilometre road team time trial race in the 51st national cycling championship Friday.
Wapda’s Dilsher Ali, Zulfiqar Ali, Haroon Rasheed and Abdul Karim clocked one hour 33 minutes and 9 seconds to secure 45 points.
Railways Mohammad Ramzan, Asif, Allah Ditta and Ghulam Hakim, bagged silver when they finished after one hour 36 minutes 22 seconds.
Pakistan Army’s team Amjad Ali, Javed Anwar, Mohammad Salim and Afzal settled for a bronze after clocking one hour 38 minutes 24 seconds.
Punjab and Sindh got the fourth and fifth positions.

Wapda (one hour 33 minutes 9 sec), Railways (one hour 36 minutes 22 sec), Army (one hour 38 minute 24 sec). Punjab (one hour 44 minutes three sec), Sindh (one hour 45 minute 58 sec).
Saturday’s programme:
4-km sprint final at 2.00pm; 4-km team pursuit final at 3.30pm.
