Big field for amateur golf

ISLAMABAD, Nov 8:The Nokia Federal Amateur Golf Championship which opens here at the Islamabad Club has attracted 70 top amateurs.

The three-day championship will be contested only in the gross category and will also have events for ladies and seniors. Taimur Hasan is the defending champion in this 54 hole event.

Tahira Nazir will defend her crown in the ladies category with Abbas Mirza the title holder in the seniors competition.
