US aid for border security

By Our Staff Correspondent

WASHINGTON, Nov 7: A team from the State Department’s Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) is due to visit Pakistan next week to discuss details of implementation of the approximately $73 million in emergency supplemental aid decided by the US for Pakistan law enforcement agencies for purposes of border security.

This project will provide helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, vehicles, communications equipment, night vision goggles, and other items, as well as appropriate training.

This was stated by State Department spokesman Richard Boucher in answer to a question on Tuesday, adds APP.
