Aamir puts Multan on top


MULTAN, Nov 6: A six-wicket haul and half century by all-rounder Aamir Bashir brought Multan close to the victory in semifinal of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II tournament at Multan Cricket Stadium Tuesday.

At stumps, Multan had scored 18 for one and require another 74 on the third and final day.

Aamir Bashir, who is also the captain of Pakistan Customs, scored 58 and claimed six for 43 as Fata were bundled out for 132 in their second innings.

Fata made 217 in their first innings.

Multan, in reply scored 258 for nine in their allotted 65 overs thanks to half centuries from Aamir Bashir and Shahid Nasim.
