Celtics stroll past winless Bulls

BOSTON, Nov 3: The Boston Celtics, behind Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker, got their second straight victory with a 96-82 stroll past the winless Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Walker put up 19 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Pierce — the NBA’s fourth-leading scorer — added 16 points, five rebounds and five steals.

Ron Mercer scored 22 points against his former team to lead the Bulls, who got 19 from Marcus Fizer. Charles Oakley had eight points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

BUFFALO (New York): Miroslav Satan scored his first two goals in nearly three weeks and set up another as the Buffalo Sabres snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday.

Satan helped set up Stu Barnes’ goal with 7:03 left in the first period that extended Buffalo’s lead to 2-0.

Tampa Bay scored its only goal of the night in the first period on a power-play goal by Martin St. Louis, but Satan scored twice on the power play in the third to seal the Sabres’ fifth straight home win against Tampa Bay.
