PESHAWAR, Nov 3: The Zila Nazim of Tank, Nawabzada Binyameen Khan, said on Saturday that the government had allocated Rs17.2 million under the Khushal Pakistan Programme for development projects.

The district government was giving top priority to the provision of drinking water, he said, adding that ponds had been desilted and tubewells repaired.

The Nazim said the government had also allocated funds for the uplift of the district under the Annual Development Programme.

He was talking to the people during his visit to various areas of Tank city on Friday, according to a handout. He visited, Sabirabad, Mohallah Dost Mo-hammad, Qutub Colony, Qassab Khana Road and Burkiabad.
