KARACHI: No classes at KU today

KARACHI, Nov 1: There will be no classes in the evening on Nov 2, director of Karachi University’s Evening Programme, Prof Asif Bin Rehman, said on Thursday.

No reason was cited in the notification to this effect.

However, it may be recalled that the Convocation 2001 of Karachi University is scheduled to be held at the campus on Nov 3 at 10am.

Essay contest: Karachi University is organizing an essay competition on “ Quaid-i-Azam as a Statesman”.

The Students’ Adviser of the university said on Thursday that the competition would be for the students of Karachi University and its affiliated colleges.

Those desirous of taking part have been asked to submit their essays with an authority letter from the head of the department or the principal of the respective college.

The essays can be contributed in Urdu and English and they should not be more than 13,000 words.—APP
