PESHAWAR, Oct 31: Asha’at al-Tauheed wal-Sunnah chief Maulana Mohammad Tayyab has called upon the Muslim Ummah to extend all-out support to the “victims of global terrorism in Afghanistan, who are braving the atrocities of infidels.”

Speaking at a protest meeting, organized by his party at the Khyber Bazaar here on Wednesday, he said the US and its allies had made Taliban target of their might and were bombing the already war-ravaged country.

The US was trying to subjugate the Muslim Ummah on the pretext of giving punishment to Taliban, he said and accused the rulers of Muslim countries of serving US objectives.

Maulana Tayyab criticized the Pakistan government for siding with the US and its allies against Taliban, who, in his opinion, were trying to save Afghanistan.

The US had launched a crusade against the Muslims to do away with the Islamic system, but Pakistani rulers were doing a disservice to Islam, he said, adding that it was a duty of the Muslims to support Taliban and offer them assistance against the US aggression.

Mufti Muneer, ATS leader from Parachinar, said US fighter planes were making Afghan civilians their target in their so-called war on terrorism. A large number of women, children and elderly people had been killed during the last three weeks, he added.
