Six arrested in Vehari

VEHARI, Oct 30: Police claimed to have arrested at least six suspects from various parts of the district for interrogation in Bahawalpur killings on Tuesday.

When contacted, police officials refused to disclose the names of the arrested.

A source said police was raiding in Mailsi and Luddan till last reports came in.

The arrested belonged to a religious party, the source claimed.

LOOTED: Dacoits looted cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from two houses in Docota area on Monday night.

As per details, six dacoits burst into the house of Muhammad Safdar, locked the inmates in a room and took away Rs100,000 in cash and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs200,000.

Meanwhile, the same dacoits entered another nearby house, held up the inmates and fled with cash and gold.

Police have registered a case.
