KARACHI: Main accused in Hakim Said case released

KARACHI, Oct 29: The main accused in Hakim Said case, Shaikh Aamirullah, was released on Monday night from the Central jail.

Aamirullah’s release was effected after acquittal in as many as 19 cases against him.

Muttahida workers and leaders were at the prison to receive him on his release. He was acquitted by the SHC appellate bench with other accused.

Aamirullah was arrested a few days before the imposition of governor’s rule in Sindh in 1999 by the Nawaz Sharif government.
