PESHAWAR: UCs assured of equal funds

PESHAWAR, Oct 22: District Nazim Aala Azam Khan Afridi has assured that the district development fund will be equally distributed among all the union councils so that equal progress could be ensured throughout the district.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Hayatabad-I union council office, he said he was fully aware of the problems of the people and was keen to provide every civic facility to them.

He said the union councils of Hayatabad were self sufficient but he wanted to see the posh area more developed in all respects.

Referring to various complaints by the people, the district Nazim said a complaint office had been established in his office and assured that rapid action would be taken on every complaint received at the office.

He directed the officials of the Peshawar Development Authority to be more vigilant and take quick action on genuine grievances of the people.

He asked the elected representatives to cooperate with their women colleagues.

He announced establishment of a library in Hayatabad.

Town-III Nazim Yasin Khan Khalil, and union council Nazims, Sirajul Haq Yousafzai and Nawab Khattak also spoke.—APP
