PESHAWAR, Oct 19: The district administration of Malakand has closed all the educational institutions of male students throughout Malakand Agency for an indefinite period.

This was stated in a circular issued from the District Nazim Aala Batkhela on Thursday.

CONDEMNED:The SUNGI Development Foundation has condemned the United States aerial strikes on Afghanistan and demanded immediate end to bombing and invite secretary general of the United Nations to act as a mediator.

A spokesman for the organization said it believed that the US and its allies had not fully pursued the diplomatic and other non-military efforts to bring to justice those responsible for Sept 11 attacks.

“There is no way of ensuring that there are no civilian casualties from US attacks and till now it is clear that areas of high population density have also been in the firing line,” it said in a Press release here on Thursday.

It said the US strikes were not only causing life and property loses to Afghan people but also badly  affecting Pakistan’s economy.

It added that around two million Afghan refugees were already living in Pakistan.

Since Pakistan was not in a position to fulfil even the basic needs of those already living in Pakistan, the fresh influx of Afghan refugees would aggravate the situation, it said.
