Need stressed for generation of funds

BADIN, Oct 17: The commander of 206 Brigade, Brigadier Ali Mohsin, has stressed the need for generation of the funds and recovery of dues from the defaulters.

While attending a briefing about future plans of the city at taluka council Badin on Monday, he said that each council should without wasting further time collect their allocated funds and start development works within their constituencies.

The meeting was attended by Kamal Khan Chang, district Nazim, Muhammad Mohsin Qureshi, DCO, Dr Musrat Hussain Khwaja, taluka Nazim, Badin councillors and officers.

The district Nazim Kamal Khan Chang said the council had chalked out a plan for the construction of fish market, slaughterhouse, Pir Aaly Shah Stadium and Badin Laar Museum.

Mr Chang said the way out would be to impose usual taxes without putting any burden upon the poor people of the district.

On this occasion taluka Nazim gave detailed briefing on various heads of budgetary income and expenditure of the taluka council and Badin Municipal Committee.

He said as much as Rs2.7 million were outstanding against the defaulters.
