Man guns down uncle

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 15: A man was killed by his nephew on a matrimonial dispute in village Ghulam Rasool Ujjan near Tharushah on Monday.

Mehrab Ujjan had asked his uncle Ghulam Sarwar Ujjan, aged 45 years, to marry his daughter with him.

When he rejected the the proposal, Mehrab shot him dead.

The Tharushah police have arrested Mehrab and co-accused Shaman.

CONVICTED: District and session judge, Naushahro Feroze, Mohammad Ishaque Memon, awarded life sentence and Rs500,000 fine to two drug pushers, Zarbat Shah and Shafi, on Monday.

In case of failing to deposit the fine amount, they will under go another two-year imprisonment.

The convicted were arrested by the Padidan police two years ago and the police recovered 272 kilograms charas from their truck.
