MULTAN, Oct 11: The District Bar Association, Multan, has condemned torture of three of the DBA members at the hands of a Nazim and his accomplices.

At a meeting here on Thursday, DBA president Mazhar Jamil alleged that Nazim Tariq Lodhi along with his nine accomplices subjected to torture advocates Rao Khaliq, Chaudhry Muhammad Bilal and Rao Shakil.

He alleged that the Chaliak police released two accused after arresting them for unknown reasons.

He expressed concern that Tariq Lodhi was still at large “by using his political influence.”

He said a DBA delegation would meet the DIG and district Nazim to inform him about district Naib Nazim Amir Dogar’s favour to the accused. — Nouman
