The protesters gathered at the Hoti bridge and started the procession, chanting slogans against the US and its allies and terming the attacks terrorism against poor Afghans.

Later, small groups from various villages carrying Jamiat Ulema Islam flags joined the procession.

The procession was peaceful and no untoward incident occurred, however, the main bazaar remained closed for two hours.
