RAWALPINDI: Water shortage

Published October 11, 2001

RAWALPINDI, Oct 10: There has been an acute shortage of water in some areas of the city for the last one week.

The affected localities are Teli Muhallah, Arya Muhallah, Bhabra Bazaar, Sarafa Bazaar, Urdu Bazaar, Bohar Bazaar and Committee Chowk.

Residents of these areas said not a single drop of water was supplied to them in the past week.

Complaining about the Wasa’s apathetic attitude in the matter, the residents warned that they would be forced to take to streets if the problem was not resolved immediately.—PPI
