Meraj Khalid deprived of car

LAHORE, Oct 9: Former caretaker prime minister Meraj Khalid was deprived of his car in Old Anarkali here on Tuesday.

Meraj Khalid was on his way home when two armed men intercepted him and drove away with his car (RIY-128).

Another car (LXY-103) was taken away by four armed men from Sohail Zafar in Defence. Later, the car was found abandoned in the factory area.

A gun-toting man stormed into a house in Shafiqabad and fled after looting cash and gold ornaments. When the family raised an alarm, the neighbours chased the robber. In the meantime, police also reached the place and arrested the gunman later identified as Tanvir.

Three armed men took away cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs270,000 from the house of Younas in Harbanspura.

STABBED: An addict, Aslam, was stabbed to death by two unidentified men in Tibbi City.

Police claim the alleged killers were also heroin addict who had a row with Aslam over a money dispute.

ELECTROCUTED: Qamar, 17, an electrician, was electrocuted while working at his shop in Ghalib Market.
