HYDERABAD, Oct 9: Around 50 villagers of Goth Naieen Sonhari, near Aamri, Dadu District, on Tuesday protested against Sub-Inspector Niaz Hussain Chachar of the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Hyderabad, who, according to them, had produced forged educational certificates at the time of appointment.

The protesters marched from the Shahbaz Building to the Hyderabad Press Club.

Talking to newsmen, Khuda Bux Khaskheli and other villagers alleged that during the PPP regime when Syed Abdullah Shah was the chief minister, Mr Chachar had provided forged educational certificates and had been appointed in the police department.

They said that they had produced evidence before the authorities concerned yet no action had been taken against him.

They said that Mr Chachar had passed only his intermediate examination, but being a “PPP Jiyala,” he had produced two forged degrees of B.A. Part-II and LL.B. and he was appointed in the anti-corruption department as sub-inspector in 1996 on the personal quota of the then Sindh chief minister Syed Abdullah Shah.

They said that evidence of forged degrees was produced before the then director, anti-corruption, Sindh, Karachi, M Ramzan Channa, and other authorities concerned.

They said that five inquiries one after the other were instituted against Mr Chachar yet his services had not been terminated.
