ISLAMABAD, Oct 8: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) said the US air strikes on Afghanistan did not enjoy the support of the UN General Assembly and the OIC.

It added that efforts must be made to find a negotiated solution to the crisis.

A PML-N spokesman in a statement issued on Monday said these attacks would not only destabilize Afghanistan but also had direct repercussions on Pakistan and the region.

The spokesman said, Gen Musharraf had failed to protect the country’s vital interests, including the core issue of Kashmir, adding, that the contents of his press conference testify to this fact beyond all doubts.

Whatever claims Gen Musharraf made in his press conference were based on presumptions, misconception and optimism and none of his claims were based on solid and credible agreement or document.
