HYDERABAD, Oct 6: The Sindh Taraqqi Passand Party, Hyderabad chapter, has decided to hold a big rally in Hyderabad on Oct 10 to protest against the rehabilitation of Afghan refugees in Sindh.

The decision regarding it was taken at a meeting of the district executive committee of the party at the Taraqqi Passand house on Saturday. Mehboob Abro presided over the meeting.

The meeting expressed grave concern over the influx of Afghan refugees into Sindh.

It observed that tens of thousands of Afghan nationals were already living in Sindh who had destroyed the peace of the province through the proliferation of drugs, automatic weapons, and terrorist activities.

It feared that if more Afghan refugees were allowed to enter Sindh, they would bring more destruction and terrorist activities would increase.

It noted that these Afghan nationals had already taken over the control of businesses and resources in Sindh.

The meeting demanded of the government to stop the influx of Afghan refugees, round up the illegal entrants and rehabilitate them in refugee camps near the Pak-Afghan border.
