SUKKUR, Oct 5: Over three thousand policemen from all over the province reached Sukkur on Friday to launch a massive operation against the dacoits holed in Ludhar Belo, Korshahoo, Teghani jo Tibbo and other hideouts situated in Sukkur and Larkana divisions.
This police force was deployed in Baiji, Gudpur, Sadhoja and Ghamro, and dozens of police posts were set up in the kutcha areas.
This operation was reportedly planned by the former SSP Sukkur Munir Ahmed Chishti and DIG Sukkur range Zafer Farooqi. Before the operation started the Sindh government transferred Munir Ahmed Chishti and it is learnt on good authority DIG Sukkur is also going to be transferred.
Now new DIG Mushtaq Shah and SSP Sukkur Din Mohammad Baloch would supervise the operation.
Rs30,000 were allocated for each police station where these forces have been deployed for their food expenses.

Ghotki and Jacobabad police have been asked to ensure the the outlaws may not flee to Balochistan and Punjab. The police have therefore sealed the borders.
A high level meeting of police officials and district Nazims from Sukkur and Ghotki was held here on Friday to discuss the latest strategy, specially regarding the hostages who were kidnapped during the last one month from Sukkur, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Jacobabad and other parts of upper Sindh.
It was decided to recover all the hostages before the operation started.
