KARACHI Pakistan players produced their best when they routed Libya 4-0 in the third round of the 39th Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, on Thursday. Pakistan quartet Mahmood Lodhi, Aamir Karim, Wasim Akram and Tanvir Gilani forced their respective opponents Ghattour Mosab, Shahrani Ibrahim, El Sabri and Naser Khalid to resign with their tactical and cerebral play.
Pakistan lost their opening game against Chile and then beat Haiti to get eight points from 12 games.—APP
