UMERKOT, Feb 1 A constable has been booked for negligence.

The jailer Sub-Jail Umerkot, Ghulam Hussain Mangrio, complained that a prisoner, Naban Shar, who pretended to have fallen ill, escaped from the sub-jail due to negligence of police constable, Punhoon Meghwar, who was on duty.

The prisoner, Naban Shar, escaped from the jail on Saturday morning at a time when sanitation staff was busy cleaning the jail premises.—Correspondent
