TAXILA, Jan 24 The in charge of Chief Minister Punjab's Sasti Roti Programme, MNA Hanif Abbasi, said on Sunday that Rs8 billion had been allocated for the project under which 20,000 automatic bread-making plants would be established in the province.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a mechanical bread-making plant here, he said as many as 15,000 breads could be baked by the automatic bread-making plant in one hour and the people would be facilitated with just Rs2 per bread.

He said during last year about 12,700 tandoors were provided wheat flour on subsidised rates and for this purpose provincial government disbursed Rs2.4 billion.
