Chaman border reopens

QUETTA, Sept 10 The Pak-Afghan border at Chaman was reopened on Thursday after successful talks between Pakistani and Afghan officials.

The border remained closed for two days over a row on unloading of fruit-laden Mazda trucks from Kandahar entering Pakistan.

“The border has been opened after successful negotiations with Afghan border guards,” a government official told Dawn.

The border was closed on Tuesday when Pakistani border guards insisted on searching trucks carrying fruits from Kandahar to Balochistan. —Staff Correspndent
