MIRAMSHAH, Dec 31 Five people were killed and two others injured when missiles fired by a US drone hit a house in North Waziristan on Thursday night.

Local people said that a US drone fired two missiles at the house of Karim Khan alias Fouji in Machikhel area of Mirali tehsil at around 9.30pm.

Five bodies and two injured were retrieved from the debris of the house. Their names could not be ascertained.

Sources said that Karim Khan, who earlier worked for a newspaper, had developed contacts with militant organisations. The militants frequently visited his house, they added.
