Pakistan to help Iraqis: Jamali

JAFFERABAD, March 30: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali performed the earth-breaking ceremony of a gas supply scheme for Sohbatpur near here on Sunday.

Speaking to newsmen on the occasion, the prime minister said Pakistan had a clear stand on Iraq war. “Pakistan is against this war and wants an early end to it as war only brings about devastation, destruction and miseries to the people and the country,” he added.

He said Pakistan would try to help the war-torn people of Iraq to the maximum.

Pakistan, he said, was against terrorism and was extending all co-operation to the United States in this regard. The case of Iraq was something quite different, he remarked. “We have a clear cut policy explained many a time before.”—APP
