On October 9, 2009, a massive suicide car bomb ripped through a market in Peshawar, leaving at least 42 people dead, officials said. The blast in a shopping area close to the northwestern citys main Khyber Bazaar also wounded more than 100 people, provincial health minister Zahir Ali Shah told reporters.
