DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Dist govt asked to submit record

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 26: The provincial government has told the district government to submit record of the union council funds and expenditure.

Sources said the directive followed complaints by union councillors about misappropriation of funds.

The district government pays Rs22,000 monthly to union Nazims in salaries and for maintenance of union offices. Sources said some Nazims did not have offices, yet they were regularly getting funds on that account.
