Two killed, eight injured in three accidents

SUKKUR, July 6 Two persons died and eight others received injuries in three different road accidents in Mirpur Mathelo on Monday.

The first accident took place in Yaroo Loond town where Manthar Gabol, carrying three labourers on his motorcycle working for an oil exploring company, was hit by a pickup.

As a result, driver Manthar Gabol and Khan Mohammad Pathan died on the spot and Naimatullah and Abdul Rehman were injured. They were taken to Civil Hospital Mirpur Mathelo.

The pickup driver fled from the scene, leaving behind the vehicle, which was impounded by the police.

In other accident which took place near Kori Khoh bus stop near Mirpur Mathelo, a speeding tractor ran over a motorcycle. As a result Washoo Jee Meghwar, Arjun Meghwar and Dewano Meghwar were injured.

The tractor driver fled along with the vehicle. Later, the injured persons were admitted to Civil Hospital Mirpur Mathelo.

In yet other incident, a speeding trailer hit a motorcycle in Mirpur Mathelo injuring motorcyclists Shahid, Mumtaz and Aftab. In this incident also, the trailer driver fled. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Mirpur Mathelo.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and another injured in a road accident on Shalimar Road in Sukkur late on Sunday night.

Mansoor Kalhoro and Lal Bux were on way their way to old Sukkur. Their motorcycle rammed into a donkey cart and, as a result, both motorcyclists were injured.
