Pakistan protests against Indian firing

ISLAMABAD, Sept 18 Indian troops opened fire on Thursday in Sialkot sector along the working boundary, a press release issued by Punjab Rangers said on Friday.

The firing started at 7.30pm and continued with intervals throughout the night. The Rangers returned fire.

Meanwhile, a civilian was injured in the village of Nekowal by Indian firing.

Pakistan protested against this second incident of unprovoked firing in one week and called an immediate flag meeting. On Sept 12, Indian troops had opened fire in Wagha sector. —APP
