Fazl urges people to shun ethnic divide

MANSEHRA, May 6: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan wants to implement western agenda in the country in the name of new Pakistan but his party will block his way to the prime minister house.

“Imran is following Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to get to the PM house and he wants to implement the Zionist agenda in Pakistan in the garb of his anti-America stunt, but my party will restrict his way as we are working for the enforcement of Sharia in the country for the last many decades,” said Maulana Fazl while speaking at a public gathering here on Monday.

The JUI-F amir asked the countrymen to get rid of ethnic and regional biases, which, he said, were threatening the existence of the county.

“If we don’t get rid of sectarianism and ethnic divides, we cannot root out terrorism and lawlessness from the country. Punjabis should feel the pain of Sindhis and Sindhis should feel the pain of Mohajirs and Mohajirs should feel the pain of Baloch and Pakhtuns,” said Maulana Fazl.

He said his party only wanted implementation of Islamic ideology in the country which, he added, could end deprivation, class difference and ethnicity and also bring the economy of country on the right track.

He said Imran Khan was speaking against the America just to gain popularity.

He said that for the last six and half decades successive rulers plundered the country and ruled for personal benefits as a result of which there was poverty and hunger in the country.

“It is unfortunate that because of corruption by successive rulers for the last 65 years we are under the burden of $70 billion international debt and this money will be paid by our coming generations,” he said.

He said the country was bleeding because of internal and external conspiracies and innocent people were being killed in Karachi, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The foundation of the country gets weakened when our enemies succeed in targeting innocent people in Karachi, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and you should vote for only those parties who can end bloodshed in the country,” said Mr Rehman.

He said his party would get maximum seats in KP and national assemblies.

Speaking on occasion JUI-F candidate in NA-20 Syed Qasim Shah said that on May 11 people of Mansehra would vote for his party which wanted to bring Sharia.

He said if people voted for him, he would address the core issues faced by the people of district on priority basses.
