Soldier stoned to death: a question

ACCORDING to a news report (March 14), a Pakistan Army soldier was stoned to death in Parachinar on the order of a tribal ‘court’ in the Kurram Agency for having an affair with a local woman.

How come our army was a silent spectator to this barbaric and gruesome murder of its soldier and did not bother to save his life?

How can you publicly stone to death a man for having an affair with a woman? This is un-Islamic. Having an affair with a woman is not a crime. It seems as if we are living in the stone age.

We should abolish all these tribal jirgas and establish the Pakistan Penal Code over there. These barbaric punishments are against human dignity.

Will the ISPR explain why our army did not do anything to save his life and arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime?
