Milk-seller stabbed to death by nephews

LAHORE, March 17: A 74-year-old milk-seller was stabbed to death allegedly by his nephews over a monetary dispute in Mohallah Bahadarpura in Liaquatabad early on Sunday.

Police said that suspects entered the house of Muhammad Ishaq and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons, killing him on the spot.

Police said the attackers were Muhammad Hussain and Fiaz, both brothers and nephews of the victim.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Razzaque said that suspects and their accomplice fled.

LOOTED: Two robbers approached the family of Hamza at their doorstep in Liaquatabad police station limits and looted cash and valuables at gunpoint.

The suspects faced police soon after the robbery, but managed to flee after exchanging fire with them.

The force set up a picket at new Ravi Bridge where officials signalled a car to stop but the driver accelerated the speed. The officials chased it and recovered 20 kites, chemical and cords.

Meanwhile, the force recovered cords and chemical during checking at Sherakot and arrested two accused.

The arrested were identified as Nazakat, Tanvir and Noor.
