Sami fears bloodshed

NOWSHERA, March 17: Patron in chief of Defence Council Pakistan and chief of JUI-S Maulana Samiul Haq fears bloodshed across the country if the government fails to hold talks with the Taliban.

The government, army and other concerned authorities should start talks with Taliban before the general election to ensure peace during elections,” said Mr Sami. He was talking to delegations after a meeting of the central executive body of JUI-S at Darul Uloom Haqania here on Sunday.

He said America and its allied forces and Pakistan would be responsible if country suffered bloodshed. He said Pakistan was passing through a critical situation while government was ‘following’ the US instructions.

Samiul Haq said JUI-S would not allow undemocratic forces to derail general elections, asking political parties to abide by the judgments of the courts and ECP.

He said the JUI-S will contest elections from all the provinces.
