PPP candidates asked to run joint campaign

TIMERGARA, May 2: Pakistan People’s Party, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has asked its candidates for National Assembly and provincial assembly seats in Lower Dir to jointly run their election campaign in the district.

In this regard, a meeting was held at the hujra of candidate for PK-94 Mahmood Zeb Khan, which was presided over by Col (retired) Khalid. Sources said that Mr Khalid was sent by party’s provincial president Anwar Saifullah following directives of PPP high command to ask the candidates to jointly run the election campaign.

The PPP candidates for NA-34 Malik Azmat Khan, PK-94 Mahmood Zeb, PK-95 Mohammad Zamin, PK-96 Malik Rahmatullah, PK-97 Zakirullah Khan, Senator Ahmad Hassan, PPP Lower Dir president Khurshid Ali, PSF leader Shahab Utmani and party workers attended the meeting.

It was made clear that the PPP candidates were strictly barred from dealing for support with candidates of other parties in their respective constituencies.

Mr Khalid warned the PPP candidates of immediate disciplinary action if anyone was found making any deal with other parties. He asked the participants to strictly follow the party discipline.
