Cholistan Jeep Rally to begin on 15th

The TDCP had launched the jeep rally in 2005 with a motive to promote Cholistan’s culture and historical heritage besides southern Punjab as a winter destination.

More than 80 experienced and professional drivers are expected to participate in the 224 kilometre long jeep rally on the sandy desert track. At least 15 check posts have been set up on the way to minimize the chance of short-cut.

All vehicle drivers will follow safety instructions like roll bar, helmets, seat belt and protective gear.

The TDCP has also made emergency arrangements with the help of Rescue 1122, Rangers, army and other agencies.

The prize money has been increased to Rs200,000 for the first position, Rs150,000 for second position and Rs100,000 for third position in each category.

Thousands of visitors and tourists are expected to witness the thrilling motor sports event at the majestic Derawar Fort.
