Spelling Bee issue

This is a feedback for the Spelling Bee issue The new spelling experts (YW, November 24, 2012). The cover stor and other related articles as well as the Spelling Bee coverage made the issue quite interesting and I read the whole magazine thoroughly.

I would like to congratulate all the students who did well in the competition. And those who lost, should not be disappointed, and they should work hard to make it next year.

What spells a W-I-N-N-E-R

I would like to say thanks to the Young World team for giving us such a nice article to read in the shape of What spells a W-I-N-N-E-R by Maryam Murtaza Sadriwala (November 24, 2012).

The article was quite useful as it provided a step-by-step guideline to children to make them better prepared for the Bee competition.

Black magic

This is with reference to the story Black magic by Gulrukh Tausif (YW, November 17, 2012). The writer has come up with a very meaningful story that carries lessons worth inculcating in our lives.

Among the lessons is a simple yet vital fact of life — ‘believing is everything’. Basically, it means what you believe is what you get. The law of Nature rests upon this principle.

If one thinks or acts positively, positive energy is transmitted into the atmosphere and consequently he attracts the same and eventually gets positive things in life. The same goes with negative energies; you get negativity in response to the negative signals you send.

Taking the use of medicines as an example, medical science has proved that if a person does not believe in the healing power of a medicine, the medicine won’t have any effect on his body.

So my dear friends, we should realise that the real power is in our hands! It’s only a matter of believing. We can lead a positive, happy and successful life if only we believe in doing so!

Universal Children’s Day

This is with reference to the article Let’s uphold the spirit of the day by Arif Iftikhar (YW, November 17, 2012). It was quite an informative article about Universal Children’s Day.

There are several children living around us — some of them are genius and gifted with immense abilities while the others are average with limited talents. But every child should be provided with what he/she deserves as a child, so instead of discriminating kids on the basis of any factor, we must strive to provide children with a better life.

Breakfast

This is with reference to the article Breakfast gives a good start by Emaan Thaver (YW, November 17, 2012). It was a great piece of writing.

The writer advised us not to skip breakfast and I always eat my breakfast properly. But this article enhanced my knowledge about the advantages of having breakfast.

I would like to thank the Young World team  for choosing such an informative article for the magazine; such articles help children follow a healthy way of living.
