SKARDU, Nov 17: Baltistan is more beautiful than I have heard, its history and culture are great and the people are hospitable and loving.  

These views were expressed by Brian M Gible, cultural attaché of the US embassy in Pakistan, while talking to Gilgit-Baltistan’s renowned tourism photographer Hamid Hussain, during a visit to his residence here the other day.

Mr Gible said, after watching the slideshow of pictures of Gilgit-Baltistan taken by Hamid Husain, he was much impressed to see his camera art.  “Hamid’s camera art was really impressive and marvelous,” he lauded.

US embassy’s assistant cultural attaché Ms Lora and Pak-US alumni coordinator Shahid Wasim were also present on this occasion.

Ms Lora also lauded the pictures of Gilgit-Baltistan taken by Hamid Hussain and offered him to exhibit his photos in the US embassy in Islamabad. —Correspondent
