Robbers make off with cash, valuables

LAHORE, Nov 13: Robbers took away cash and valuables worth Rs2.3 million during four house robberies in the city on Tuesday.

Four armed men barged in the house of Imran in Racecourse police limits, held all family members at gunpoint and took away cash and valuables worth Rs800,000.

A female robber stormed into the house of Fraz in Naseerabad police limits and escaped after looting gold ornaments and cell phones worth Rs600,000 at gunpoint.

Some robbers burst into the house of Haji Tahir in Raiwind City police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs500,000.

Some robbers entered the house of Sharif in Islampura police limits and took away cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.

AMBULANCE SERVICE: The City Traffic Police have launched an ambulance service to provide emergency treatment to wardens on duty.

The initiative was taken by Chief Traffic Officer Capt Suhail Chauhdry (retired) on wardens’ demand, says a release issued on Tuesday.

The ambulance will be available round the clock for wardens in case of emergency during their duty anywhere in the provincial metropolis.

The CTO also directed the circle officers to ensure smooth flow of traffic during rush hours and especially around the roads near hospitals.
