Fraudster arrested in Chakwal

CHAKWAL, Nov 13: A man was arrested for forging licences of different kinds of ammunition.

According to the Saddar Police, Hafiz Riaz Hussain, a resident of Noorwal Village, had been in the business for a couple of years. To forge a licence, he would charge hefty amounts from the customers, who were convinced that genuine licences would be issued from the concerned department.

Many people preferred to get the licence from him as his services appeared as a short-cut for them.

On the complaint of a resident, Dr Abdul Hameed, police arrested Hafiz Hussain and recovered licences from his custody. These licences were sent to the interior ministry, where they were declared as fake.

“The court has given us remand of three days and during investigation, more revelations are expected”, Investigation Officer (IO) Raja Aslam told Dawn. —Correspondent
