Court seeks details of kiosks

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday gave three days to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to submit details of all the kiosks it has allotted illegally to different people.

CDA is required to allot kiosks through auction and competitive process.

Justice Siddiqui was hearing public interest litigation on encroachments in Islamabad.

On November 2, the judge had ordered CDA to remove encroachments from Shalimar Park situated in Sector F-7/3 where Khalid Malik, the brother of Interior Minister Rehman Malik, was allegedly running a restaurant with fake ownership of Zaheer Ahmed.
