MPA’s uncle booked in firing case

ATTOCK, Oct 30: Police in Attock have registered a firing case against two persons, including the uncle of an MPA (Member of Provincial Assembly) here on Tuesday.

Police said Imran Khan, resident of Sheenbagh village and cousin of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA, Malik Shahan Khan, filed a complaint against his uncle, Iqtidar Khan, for assaulting him and the MPA.

He alleged that while they were standing outside the house of Malik Shahan Khan on Eid, Iqtidar Khan and Amir Hayat opened fire on them and escaped from the scene. The complainant was able to escape unhurt, rushing into the house.

The police attributed the incident to a family feud, since Iqtidar Khan is the brother of PPP leader Malik Hakmeen Khan, father of MPA Shahan Khan. They have registered a case against the accused, but no arrest have been made as the police investigate the matter.—Correspondent
