Shot dead

LAHORE, Oct 29: A 38-year-old tailor was found shot dead on a road in Old Anarkali area on Monday.

Police said Tanveer Khan of Muzaffargarh was found lying in a pool of blood on Napier Road. The victim got two bullets to his body parts.

Police said it was premature to establish the motive for the shooting and elements involved.

Quoting Habib Khan, police said his only son had been working as tailor in Lahore for the last two and half years and was a bachelor.

The victim stayed in the city on Eidul Azha.

Police shifted the body to a hospital for an autopsy and registered a case.

INJURED: A man allegedly injured his wife and two other women over his marriage dispute in Mustafaabad area on Monday.

Police said suspect Zahoor Shah attacked his wife Saba with a knife. Two other women Nasreen and Rani were also injured after they tried to save Saba.

Police said Saba had filed a separation suit against her husband.

Police have registered a case against the absconding accused.
