Two outlaws held in Karak

KARAK, Sept 29: Police have arrested two outlaws in Takht-i-Nusrati area and recovered arms from their possession on Saturday.

Officials said that following a tip-off about the presence of outlaws in Ganderi Khattak area SHO Takht-i-Nusrati Ashraf Khan and in-charge quick response force Khaliq Badshah along with police contingent raided house of the accused and arrested Tayyab Khan and Usmanullah Wazir, a resident of Danday Wazir.

The police claimed to have recovered one Kalashnikov, one pistol, three magazines and live rounds from their possession. They said that the accused were wanted to Karak and Bannu police in murder and kidnapping cases.

Police also arrested, Umer Khan, father of Tayyab Khan, for giving shelter to the outlaws.

STUDENTS HURT: At least 18 students of a private school were injured when their vehicle overturned near Amberi Kallay on Indus Highway here on Saturday.

Sources said that a pick-up van carrying students of Wisdom School and College to their homes overturned due to tyre burst. As a result, 18 students suffered injuries. They were taken to district headquarters hospital, Karak.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead in the weekly cattle market at Takht-i-Nusrati here on Saturday.

The victim, Imtiaz, was standing at the market when his rivals shot him dead and escaped.

Relatives of Mr Imtiaz registered an FIR in Takht-i-Nusrati police station and nominated one Habib and his cousin Yaseen in the case. In another incident one Kaleemullah was killed in Ahmadabad area.

The relatives lodged a case against one Junaid Wazir in Takht-i-Nusrati police station.
