LAHORE, Sept 28: Punjab Assembly’s standing committee member Dr Asma Mamdot has said almost 150 ghost schools still exist in her home district Rajanpur.
Speaking at a post-budget policy dialogue on effectiveness of education financing on Friday, she claimed the teachers of ‘ghost schools’ were drawing salaries for the last one and-a-half decade. “The ghost schools’ teachers are drawing salaries despite many complaints to the School Education Department,” she observed.
Punjab School Education Department’s Deputy Secretary Qaiser Rasheed denied any ghost school existed in Rajanpur.
