Man shot dead in Raiwind

LAHORE, Sept 21: A 29-year-old man was found shot and killed on Friday in the Talab Sharan area near Raiwind, Manga Mandi police said.

Muhammad Akbar was allegedly killed by six people of the village on some family issue, police quoting Akbar’s brother, Muhammad Khan, said.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arif told Dawn that the suspects nominated in the case are: Ilyas, Muhammad Husain, Younis, Mursaleen, Mushtaq and Yousuf.

He said when Rescue 1122 officials responded to a call and arrived at the scene, Akbar was alive but in very critical condition. He was later received dead at the Jinnah Hospital. Till our going into the press, the doctors had yet to perform postmortem of the body.

Manga Mandi police registered a case against the six suspects and were after them. — Bilal Shafiq Janjua
