Wanted police inspector held

KARACHI, Aug 31: An absconding policeman wanted in connection with a suicide attack on the SSP-Malir has been taken into custody by the Rangers, it emerged on Friday.

Sources in the paramilitary force said that Inspector Azam Mehsud was picked up near Yousaf Plaza on Thursday where he had come to visit someone.

He was nominated in the FIR of the suicide attack on SSP-Malir Rao Anwar earlier this year along with his brother Sher Zaman.

He was also wanted in some other cases.

He was posted in the Sohrab Goth and Pak Colony police stations as SHO.—Staff Reporter
