Between frames: Heal

Every once in a while a film comes along that puts a face on the world around us. Instead of dealing with our surroundings in abstractions it forces us to think and feel for a change.  Heal is just that film.

A 24-minute short film set in the midst of the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Heal uses the supernatural to tell the story of how a gifted child makes an extraordinary effort fora his people:

Written and directed by Mian Adnan Ahmad, Heal has already been the recipient of a number of awards on the festival circuit, competing against some of the best work from around the world.

In an era of superheroes and 3D pyrotechnics, Heal is a film that takes us back to what the art of film making was originally meant for: Storytelling.
